On the next post and you will see a chess a problem

It is White to play and Mate in two moves.
(White moves first and gives checkmate on his 2nd move.)

    Don't try and solve it.
Quickly play the most obscure move you can think of.
Make your choice after just 5 seconds thought.

I 100% guarantee that you will have found the solution and White
will mate Black on next move no matter what Black plays.

    OK get ready...

...remember 5 seconds then pick you random move. I bet you chose right.

    Here it comes.....

Well the first move i went for after 5 seconds was Qxb7. I see black responding with Rxb7 and then...not mate on the next move. What am I missing?

Yes black is forced to create a mate in 1 as a rook move is forced. It's amazing what sort of things you can create when you create positions. I think there should be a competition to find the most puzzle like position ever reached in an actual rated game. 🙂

    It's a good.
No matter what White plays he can always mate on move 2.

Even 1. h7-h8=N mates next move, as does 1.h3.

There are over 60 key moves.

I'm sure Swiss G is horrified at it but there again I bet he can do one
with over 100 key moves that all mate next mate. He's clever at these things.
