The standard 2nd move for white is Nc3 but I like to play 2.g3 and then 3.Bg2. It's an advanced fianchetto variation recommended by GM Tony Kosten in his book 'Dynamic English'.

Against 1.c4 I often play 1..e6 trying to transpose to Queen's Gambit Declined. Of course White isn't forced to 2.d4, but he'll have to d4 sooner or later or I get to control the centre. Do you consider this as a sound approach?
In a kind of similar hope to Rabella, against 1.c4 I like to play 1....c6 with of view of transposing to the Slav.
