They give a pretty good indication of how good someone is, and there are plenty of good reasons I don't allow 1300/1400 scrubs to challenge me - I don't want to waste my time.
Well, if you're good enough to beat me than you should be good enough to hit that level, if not then go away.
I'm sure the "I can so beat you" argument works against 14 year olds, but it won't work against me. No 1550 no game. In fact I think 1550 is quite lenient.

well that is true, unless your building it up from 1200. i made the mistake of not trying to tackle any 1500s when i was provisional. so now its baby steps up t owhere i should be.

Making mutliple moves in a minute on different games will hinder anyones ability.
