    Game 1680418

I had to spend a long time thinking whether giving up a whole 2 pieces was worth it but in the end (6th move? ^^) it worked!

One of the most unorthodox games I have ever seen. 🙂

Let's see: After your fourth move, you got two pawns for the piece, eliminated Black's center, destroyed the Black King's cover, accelerated your own development, retarded Black's development, deprived Black of the ability to castle, and, all the while, the Black Knight still remains out of play. Very nice and not an easy choice to make. I probably would have played the more prosaic Bb3.

    Fritz points out that
    4.Nxe5 Nxc4 5.Nxc4 d5 6.exd5 Qxd5 7.Ne3 leaves White a solid pawn up. No need for fireworks!
