they both make "sacrafices" that result in nothing more than equality, then they dance around the central pawns for a while, then black says "pfft" and collapses. a real yawn if you ask me.

They weren't supposed to be the tactical flare that sacs normally are they were positional and if you want a different kind of sac maybe this game will be more to your liking.

Those "sacrifices" look more like blunders to me. There wasn't much of a battle there, and it was pretty clear that black gave up long before mate.

Actually if you look at the game deeper you will see that one side had a slight advantage that was turned into equality with the sacs. The first sac that I(elonater) made was actually better for black if he didn't take it. To prove this I will play you set games from each of the postions where the sacs were made and you can tell me then If they are blunders.
