Yeah you should commentate on a video GP. You often offer advice in the forums and a lot of the time it's pretty funny. You'd be good at it.
into a mic whilst fannying about with DB to get the chess pieces moving
and then saying something people will understand.
I have done some chess for the blind and totally hated the sound
of my voice. I think it's a knack thing, you can do it or you can't.
So I'm round at Keith's next week to have a bash - we may do a doubler.
What ever happens, good or naff - it will be different.
Hi,
A Chandler Cornered I did about 4-5 weeks ago mentions I
had just picked up Staunton's Handbook for 20p.

I'm always on the look out for more examples and instruction methods,
if I can lift an idea or two from a book/CD/DVD then it's been OK.
But this thing is misleading.
"Discover the secrets of Succesful Chess Strategies"
"Have you ever wished you could improve your own game?"
I know in this day and age the word 'chess book' is shunned with
players looking for a quick fix via an electrical source.
There was a thread posted a few days ago asking what book to get
and the poster was immediately pointed in the direction of a chess program. 😕
So I thought I'd warn them that this stunning CD was not the answer
mankind had been waiting for.
OK It was a good book for 1847 but now it's out-dated and very very
labourious to read.
1. K's P to K's 4th - K's P to K's 4th.
Ploughing through that could put you off Chess for life.
They don't say it's Staunton Handbook, and not the full version at that,
the thing is a rip off.
If anyone wants it all they have to do is PM me their address and
I'll send it to them. Free (UK only).
