I agree..it would be braver to just compete with the men. Women tend to be less monomaniac.. which is a character flaw that a good chess player must have.. and this is the cause there are less female GMs, not because women are less intelligent or logical.

I think I could win the World Chess Championship of Gay Idiots. 🙂

At the Mexican tourney there was an interview with one of the very strong women players, forget her name but her view is that women simply don't have the physical stamina for demanding grandmaster games as good as men, so should play better at blitz, but that is my take on it, the blitz thing.

I once read an article in Runner's World stating that women have BETTER stamina than men. The article went on to predict that at some point women will have the long-distance running records, not men.

Both. There's a championship for everyone and one just for women.
