No, we're in round 2, which started yesterday. The tables for round 1 can be accessed by clicking on the link within the tournament information box at the top of the page.

Is that to say gameknot has better players on it than RHP? From what i've seen so far, this site is very strong...

This tournament has a number of high-ranking players in each group (I believe 8 out of the top 20 are playing at the moment in this tournament).

Still, only 8 out of 20. If there was a large timebank then i'm sure all of the top 16, or 20 players could enter. It would be good to have an official RHP champion every year. And also, some of the tournaments, say for example, Ironman31 enters, have low rated players...its a waste of Ironman's time playing these people in a way, because he knows he's gonna win. I think its a good suggestion. i'd love to see it happen.

I think a knock-out tournament featuring the top 16, or 32 would be very exciting.

You are right - I was looking at RHP 500 mega tournament instead...

Maybe I'm not a good enough player but why did Ironman resign in that game against Akizy? There was hardly a piece captured, was Akizys positioning that much better?

I'm no wiser myself.. Didn't seem to be too bad but what would I know? There was a thread about that loss to Akizy and Ironman did write an analysis of the game - I can't even read the notation so it doesn't make any sense to me - sounds good though!

Ironman is actually #2 on Gameknot........ hes just lost 17 times, thats all. And yes, I'd say gameknot has tougher players but this site is no pushover either

quite a few are already here ...

some with different names and perhaps not wanting the connection between their accounts to be made openly public.

others are using the same name : try degraaf
(oh and flexmore).
