Hey,

I really enjoyed playing this game the other night, so thought I'd share.

Firstly, find the mate in 5 for white from this position.

And now the game...

Black's strategy was to dominate the dark diagonal. Whites (mine) was to try to punish black's lack of development and accept the loss of the exchange for black's important dark bishop. Allowing the pushing of the pawn and not castling was part of this risky strategy.

I like how defense was of the counter attacking kind. Black should have won, but a very weak move was his undoing

Wow. Mates everywhere. There's another forced one with a different first move.

Hows about a mate in 4 starting with g4?

Isn't it mate in 4? I don't quite get what's wrong with the immediate 28. Qh3#.

This one seemed the most obvious for me 🙂

Very nice game!
Don't worry about missing the mate in one. When you see a forced mate you play it,you don't look for a shorter mate.
