Perhaps one for Russ if he has the data to analyse and report:

Over all games ever played, what is the average number of moves made to conclude a game on this site?

Possibly, or quite probably, a meaningless figure but I am curious to know.

I personally have lowered the average
I've had hundreds of games end in three moves or less
so any stats would be meaningless

I resigned

From the 4½ million RHP I have the average move a game finishes is on move 31.
134,231 - White wins = 65627 Drawn = 6096 Black wins = 62508

But as mentioned making anything out of this and comparing it too OTB games
is pointless as quite a few games have people just stopping after 4-5 moves.
Or playing on and on and on sometimes (more often then you would think) players just mess about.

These two fit the messing about till one gets bored category category.

One of the longest games is Game 12455015 358 moves.

The longest one with checkmate is Game 10837561 216 moves.
