funny how people believe this....but they don't believe i got a "theoretical" draw against joel benjamin at a 36 player simul.

(theoretical draw meaning i resigned out of respect...all engines conclude the game a draw....and yes i know i wouldn't have been able to draw the position)

Call him to join RHP. So we can watch his improvement. Because if you or your friend are sure this guy wasn't some liar claiming to be GM, than your friend has to be unseen chess genius. Bring him to RHP ! So eventually, within a year or two, Akizy and Weyerstrass will have some tough competition.....

And another thing... Are you sure that he wasn't just playing around with you when you "introduced" him to chess a month ago. Maybe he was already 2000 FIDE player with some strange sense for humor... ?!

I have a friend. He was 12 years old when he was second best rated kid in Slovenia (almost 2000 ELO) and in breaks of competitions, he would play unrated games with his buddies to "warm up" for real matches and they would play like morons on purpose in front of their rivals eyes, pretending they are weak, activating the king on move two etc... It was all to prepare element of surprise on a real match... 😛


So, will you bring your friend on Red Hot Pawn or not ? 🙂
