What is the worst and best opening move someone can make?


I heard it is only possible to beat someone in 4 moves, no less, can someone confirm or deny this?

The worst opening move for white is considered to be f3.

The best is probably e4 or d4 but the one with the highest winning percentage is a4 I believe with 100% wins for white.

i know this one from experience, when i was in grade 4, a kid beat me in four moves because of that opening move, what a mistake!!

nice try, but you need to move the knight and queen to those positions, i'm talking about from start to finsh

wait, i can beat someone in 3 moves (individual, not paired). i think this will only work if you are black.

1.White: a3 Black:e5
2.White: f4 Black: d8 h4 Check
3.White: g3 Black: h4 g3 Checkmate

Only because Xanthos somewhere in forums said it has a 100% winning rate out of the grand total of two games.........
No one will ever start with 1.a4.......
