My rating has dropped 130 points in 5 days and I have 8 losses in a row. What do you do when your rating starts dropping alot?

Wow you have quite a few games going. If I were you I'd try not to accept more invites but to steer your way safely in your remaining games. Possibly even take a week or two holiday but your opponents might time you out.

Yeah im trying to get my number of games in progress down. My clan leader stopped sending me challenges so that should bring the number down.

I can so feel your pain. Just couple weeks ago I lost a game (fourth rated long game I've ever lost) and my OTB rating dropped 13 points (2000 -> 1987). That was by far the biggest drop I've ever had.

That was also the second time in my life when I lost a rated long game against sub-2000 player. I am still quite shocked. I have to consider giving chess up altogether. Coz one thing is for sure; if I keep losing a game per year, I'll never make it over 2900.

my rating chart is a roller coaster. I can't give you any advice because i'm bad at it myself... but it sucks.

I slow down and go over my games by myself and with players who play alot better than me,
whenever possible.
