HI there, I got a question concerning the concept of equalizing.
When we often, Black has equalize.

what does that mean. ?
On the Petroff defense, they say it was better to play etheir Nxe5 and d4, but I said I would rather Play Nc3 and they say it was, since black can reach something better with Bb4.
And now they praise Bb4 as the best move and give it an exclamation point.

And I switch subject, and I ask him, what to do , when playing an italian game.
I got, 0-0, Ng5, d3 and d4. Even Nc3..... (which is dull. )But they never mention Bb5.

When I suggest that move, they were horrified. they said. how stupid are you, and gave Bb5 a question mark for moving the piece twince.

I don,t it. One play is good, and another is not good. and both move, give the exact same play. why?

You can see yourself, the player who make the move, move in the exact same position.

no, not all, I do not understand that word. not completly, I always, it mean, black reach a playable game.

BY the way, I suggest people to Bb5 when stick on the two knight defense, that do not have a name.

White is supposed to get some advantage from the opening. Why would white waste a tempo to get an equal position? Your Bc4-b5 move indeed produces a position with which black would be happy. But white is supposed to seek more.

I guess it means black can start operations of his own now, rather than try to defend against white's intitiative.

It means that if you switched sides you'd have just as strong a position as if you didn't.
