Has anyone noticed playing blitz that sometimes it won't allow you to capture en passant?
I was playing a game and was a piece up (winning easily) and then my opponent checked my king with a pawn I could take en passant. I tried to take it, but it wouldn't let me so I told my opponent and quit the game. I felt it was serious as moving my king in response would have given my opponent a passed pawn duo and good drawing chances.

Do you have a copy of the game?
Another weird situation came up in blitz recently where I made my first move as white and it clearly registered on the board and my opponent had the yellow arrow showing it was his move, yet after awhile he said "Sir, I am waiting for your move!" lol. He said the board showed that I hadn't moved!
That was the weirdest I've ever seen.
According to the wikipedia article on en passant you may use it to get out of check, at least if that's your only move. "Kenneth Harkness said that it is frequently asked if an en passant capture must be made if it is the only move to get out of stalemate. The answer is that it must be made (or resign) and it also must be made if it is the only move to get out of check (Harkness 1967:49)."

Indeed, I also found you cannot get out of check using en passant. I wonder what happens if that is the only legal move - does it count as a checkmate or a draw??
Black has just played c7-c5
