Blue Sky Questions
Let's take a brief pause from the horizontal realities of the nasty here and now. Just for the hell of it, let's allow ourselves the extravagance of a whimsical
'what if' blue sky flight. Suppose that five chess freaks (you and I, Weyerstrass and the top rated player in the world today and of all time) were given the
opportunity of two chess games each with the 'Supreme Intellect of the Universe' (given the premise that our individual spiritual points of reference and/or
allegiance, whether labelled _____ or god, are quite ancillary to the following questions and therefore totally inconsequential). Question #1: How long would
any of the ten games be likely to last in terms of number of moves? #2: Would any of the five games with the human players as white be likely to last one
move longer than their games playing black? #3: Any possibility the gentleman might underwhelm/surprise by graciously offering draw on his first moves?

How do you know she's a gentleman?
dominance by design is readily apparent, even taught daily in the social/survival dynamics of the jungle. All males initiate. Females respond
(or react). Lesson #102 informs us that in the lower order of creation attractiveness and beauty are bestowed upon the male (ponder peacock
feathers or the magnificent head of the male lion relative to the plainess of the female), 180 degrees unlike the quintessence of pulchritude
and striking elegance of the female in the human realm (for which all men frequently express their gratitude). Lesson #103 involves a field
trip. In the contemporary scheme of things it's sort of interesting to note an unfortunate male gender behavioral exception, now and then,
on internet site public forums. Perhaps we'll save Lessons #104 and 105 for another day. Thanks for your interest in this chess topic thread.

Aw shucks, Andy. What real value is there standing around unecessarily on ceremony. Here's Lesson #104. Please consider the primordial
thematic content of chess itself: an intellectual engagement of warfare with simple guidelines and the imperatives of nobility; in which kings
and queens stand equally tall; in which it is the queen's pleasure and privilige to serve her king. Yes, getting back to chess was my motive.
