The game between Aagard and Stephen Gordon is stuck at move 41 (with Black to move) on the live games website. I suspect Aagard may have resigned as even I could win for Black in that position. I think Haslinger may lose a ...[text shortened]... which case there could be several players in with a chance of winning the tournament tomorrow!
Haslinger lost.

That leaves Aagard and Gordon on 7.5, and a bunch on 7. Rowson's still got a chance of making it 4 in a row.

Two hours into the final round. Both leaders are the exchange down, but Aagard has two pawns compensation and Gordon one. I think Aagard is worse and Gordon better, but both games could go either way. David Howell has a horrible position and I'll be amazed if he survives.

Here is a weird game - Storey vs Jack Rudd:

1. e4 d6 2. h4 Nf6 3. Nc3 c5 4. d3 Nc6 5. h5 h6 6. Rh4 e5 7. Be3 Be7 8. g3 d5 9. Bd2 d4 10. Nce2 Bg4 11. f3 Bxh5 12. Rh2 Bg6 13. Kf2 Nd7 14. Bh3 O-O 15. Bxd7 Qxd7 16. g4 c4 17. Ng3 cxd3 18. cxd3 Nb4 19. N1e2 Nxd3+ 20. Kg2 Nxb2 21. Qb3 Na4 22. Rah1 Nc5 23. Qc4 Qe6 24. Qc1 Rfc8 25. Qa1 Nxe4 26. Bxh6 Nxg3 27. Kxg3 gxh6 28. Rxh6 Bg5 29. Nxd4 Bf4+ 30. Kg2 exd4 31. Rh8+ Kg7 32. Unless I've been looking at the wrong game, Howell is winning easily and has been winning easily pretty well all the way through after Simon Williams' rather eccentric opening.

At move 48, it looks like Jacob A is winning...

Still looks pretty unclear to me. Earlier I think Flear was better.

Have to admit it now looks very good for Aagaard. Flear has clearly gone wrong badly somewhere. If Gordon beats Kosten - and I think he will, it's been a helluva game - he will tie for first with Aagard. Would that mean a tiebreak tomorrow morning for the title?

Not sure what they do for a tie-break, though Kosten's 53.... Rf1 might turn thngs round for him.

Kosten has wriggled very resourcefully in what I think was a dead lost position and may have salvaged a draw.

He's not Danish anymore, he's Scottish!

I think it is fair to say that Scots dominated the British again.

Aagard wins, Rowson (winner for the previous 3 years) is equal 2nd.

Keti wins the women's title.

A couple of the age titles went to Scots.

I expected him to say that if he won he was Scottish (and take pride in that) and if he had lost he would claim a Dane had failed to win the British championship. People are normally disowned when they are not doing so well not when they are winning. (Ask the tennis fans about Greg Rusedski.)

Nah. Jacob is Scottish - win, lose or draw.

If you had an ounce of sense, you'd understand that a Dane cannot win the British Championship.
