Can players not registered play on blitz site?

I just played a beginner from Montreal with the name "zaz" but I went to send him a pm and could not find him. The nearest one was 'Zazu" in Canada, both P1200's. the player search came up with zazu but not zaz so it didn't have anything to do with provisional status, any ideas?
Same thing happened with a player named 'yolfidawg'. What gives?

i think the blitz site shares with another corry site im not sure which one but not all players there play on rhp
