Can you play in tournaments here if you are not a paying member yet?

I was thinking that I would like to play in a tourney of people rated 1000 to 1200. But it looks like I can't do that unless I am a subscriber.

Is that right?

You can play in octets or quartets with people in specified range according to your own tournament rating. For example i can join an octet set at a rating of 1600-1700. But yes u have to be a subscriber. Mow a few lawns, clean a few cars and you can get $40 in no time like me 🙂
