I would not go so far as to say a masterpiece but yes it's a super result
and credit to Anand's backroom boys and his memory.

Carlsen would not have been have to happy with his team for sending
him into the arena with just his dick in his hand.

    After 25 moves.

9:50 AM EST, looks like it is headed for a draw. Maggie is seemingly allowing Vishy to take the fianchetto'd bishop.

Only queens and pawns now. Don't see how Maggie can win now.

That would have won a piece after 35. Qxd3 Nf4+... if it wasn't for that pesky white pawn on g3.

Game 4 over, draw. Looks like Vishy has overcome the intimidation factor!

We are both wrong. Nf4 is not possible and there is no pawn on g3.

After Vishys loss in round two (round two!!) i feared the worst for him. But, you know, i think it may prove to be the making of him. His Round three game, honestly, has to be the best game he has played since he beat Kramnik for the title. I know most of it was preparation, but it was the way that he played it. I watched it all live and Vishy had the eye of the TIGER during that game! His body language at the board just oozed confidence. Carlsen, if he has a weakness, is that he can on occasion let a loss get to him. It won't last forever, but i see chinks in the young Norwegians armour here. I think he is starting to fear Anands prep, which is a dangerous sign for him. If he starts trying to neutralise every position then this match could end up being a lot closer than he would like. Come on Vishy!!!

    Carlsen - Anand Game 4

Looking at the earlier posts it seems some have this position with White to play.

It is infact Black to play, but if were White to play and
they played g4 then Qxd3 does win a piece.

You can watch it online here with commentary while the games are in progress. I think it generally starts around 12 noon. 🙂

I've been watching it on TheChessNetwork channel on TwitchTV.

The commentator is lower rated, but it's easier for me to follow - on the official site I sometimes get confused over which board has the real position.

Let me add that he's been pretty quick to post summaries of the games on YouTube - just find the ChessNetwork channel and all the games so far should be there.
