Hi,
Does anyone have a Caro-Kann Book(s) they recommend. I am looking for books that show the main strategies and tactics of the variations. So I am not expecting one book to cover all variations.

i have looked for caro kann books 24/7 and you pretty much have to look for a specific variation. i found the meran was a fun opening to try look it up they have a good book on that and quiet a few of the people on rhp have been playing it.

I recommend "A Black Opening System for the Rest of Your Chess Career" by Andrew Soltis. He advocates the Caro-Kann against 1 e4, and gives moves to play against all of the main variations. (He recommends the Slav Defense [1 d4 d5 2 c4 c6] against 1 d4.)
