I think Ryan Gosling would make a great Bobby Fischer. He's great at playing people who are a little off mentally, like when he played Robert A Durst, an eccentric millionaire who killed his wife.

Danny DeVito would have made great David Bronstein or even Najdorf (with proper mask).
If a woman should play Fischer then Amanda Peet is right one.
