oh I certainly realize that but I can dig up others where my position was looking better but lost it in the end

1. castle kingside..

2. castle before youre in too much trouble..



castling is worth it...having king saftey and your rooks together is awsome!

After you opponent makes a move,

1.Ask youself what the threat is...If he had another move, what would he play?

2.After you know what move you are going to play, play in on the analysis board if you have to and figure out what your oppenents reply will be.

You will stop dropping pieces and improve your play this way.

i have found that there is not a better side to castle on. just a game to game basis

agreed. I can't count how many games are lost because of my obsession with Kingside castling. Namely:

"NOOOO! I can't play g4 to kick off the Bishop, I can't castle then!"
