Hey guys, I know this time of year brings out a ton of chess book recommendation threads, but I'm looking for a chess book written in Spanish. I don't speak spanish but my future brother-in-law does and is very interested in learning the game. He has a basic understanding of the game and some fundamentals about strategy, but something for novices in spanish would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Ruy Lopez was Spanish. I heard he invented an opening or something. Also something to do with monkeys in their natural habitat.

I believe Amazon.com carries some books in Spanish. You might just do a search for "ajedrez" (Spanish for 'chess'😉 and see what comes up. However, if you don't read Spanish you might need to have someone help you to decide which books would be most appropriate for a novice.
