Nd6 looks quite promising?

White can get at least a draw with 1.Ne7+ Kc7 2.Nxd5+ Kb8 3.Nxb6 Ka7 and then 4...Kxa6 and the game is drawn.

I don't think white can win though.

Nd6. Covers the b7 square allowing the pawn to push on to promote.

Hey Bmann.

Bulk up your problem posts so that I don't have to cover up the bottom of my screen with my hand while looking at the positions.

Cheers,

Yep.

If White plays 1. a7 Black replies with 1...Kb7 and captures the Pawn.

However, ...Kb7 can be prevented by 1. Nd6! If now 1...Kxd6, or any other move, the white Pawn marches on to queen.
