What magazines are published regularly? Do you have to be a member of FIDE or something?

I'd be interested in something that talks about exercises/ schools of thought on playing as opposed to "here's the results of last month's tournaments". Also one that would fit someone in my rating range as opposed to talking too high over my head.

Any suggestions out there?

Only thing in the US is Chess Life, it's a monthly mag that comes when you join USCF.

Chess Life is good....it focuses on kids a bit too much...but it's still good.

Are you aware that there are two versions? on is a for kids version that they send to scholastic members, and the other is the normal chess life.
