If you have one of the new fangled Mac contraptions and can bear to to put Windows on it then the best for Macis also the best for PC. Rybka or something like that I suppose. If it has to be Mac OS then Sigma Chess is good and can be had for free. If you want to spend some money on it, HIARCS comes with Sigma and can be unlocked for a modest sum. Shredder is also good on Mac but costs. Exachess is good database software. My own preference is for Scid with Fruit 2.3.1 as analysis engine.

I'd like to know too as I am sick of Dell and all the spyware and viruses that the PC seems vulnerable to. And all the blue screens, etc.
