I just read an interesting article on Strategy and Tactics at http://www.chesscentral.com/articles_chess/chess-training-ct-art.htm
The article extols the values of the CT-ART program to learn tactics (the website also sells this software for $26). Sounds like a good program. Anyone know anything about it?

You can download a demo version and try it out. I did.

There are also some great tactical training exercises for free at http://webplaza.pt.lu/public/ckaber/Chess.htm#Chess%20training. These work great in ChessBase.

CONVEKTA software is top notch.
CT-Art is the upper level cd.
I am a pretty good player and Im still working chess tactics for beginners and chess tactics for intermediate players before I tackle
CT-Art. They look like they are geared for kids based on the artwork but I recommend Highly that you start with CT- for begginners, browse around in the CT-for intermediate players, then CT-ART.
