You can check out my threads in the chess forums. I put links on them to help players.

Besides that, you might want to consider getting a chess teacher. There are lots online, some more expensive then others.

I teach on Fics on inperson if you live close by and charge $10/hour. The lowest I've heard of is $20/hour excluding me.

It takes years to get a chess pro, you are looking at 4-6 years normally to get to 2000+. Knock off couple of years if you have a teacher.
