Can someone tell me a good site were it is possible to play fischer random chess?
And by the way do you feel that playing Chess960 is good for orthodox chess. In the sense that it makes you think harder and concentrate on ideas?
Also they have Stanley Chess "the original chess" as well as Shantraj and other variations.

One of the improtant aspects of chess is openings. 960 has 960 times more openings than the classical one. We will all be back to square one if we start to play 960.
When FIDE finds it serious chess, then perhaps I will change my view.

Originally posted by FabianFnasThe problem with this is though, that you can memorize openings, sometimes out to the 20th+ move. Fischer random takes that memorization out of the game, and makes you actually understand the game on a base level.
