You can do statistical analysis of your own games, ie, load in 200 games of yours, CB runs statistics to work out what openings you perform badly against, thus allowing you to concentrate your study where it's needed.
Anybody have chessbase and an opinion of its helpfulness for an around 1800 player? Thinking about getting it, but first I'll have to install a dvd in my computer. Wonder how helpful it is. I already have Fritz 8 and like it very much. I use it mostly for blitz and analyzing finished games.
Takes a while to set up, but it's worth it. I love to just play through lots of games quickly. It's great to remove the board and the pieces out of the equation. I can study soooo much more using CB. 🙂
