Anybody know of software in which you can create a combination file, sort of like ct arts, only with combinations you include, with diagrams, of course. I know there is software in which you can store your openings, games, but how about combinations that you take out of books or include from your own games. All I need is a diagram, a what's the best move or series of moves question, then and answer right or wrong. I don't need all that fancy stuff, timer, etc. that ct arts has. Anyone have an idea?

I used ChessCaptor, which can read PGN files, to create b/w diagrams as GIF files. Then I inserted these into a Publisher document with the solutions on page two. I printed these eight to a page on card stock and made flash cards that I use for training.

Of course, ChessBase works for creating databases of tactical problems.
