Complex checkmates

Thought it might be fun to have a thread for games where the end position was complicated and the checkmate involved several pieces - possibly from both sides - rather than the more usual "oh look, my queen is next to your king and you can't capture it" kind.

This probably isn't my best example of what I mean, but it's the most recent. One of my current games is going to be better but I'll wait until it's over.

Game 936479

If my opponent hadn't moved that knight on her last move... it's blocking the king AND saving me from her own bishop!

I'm not sure if this is what you mean but I rather liked this ending combination to checkmate.

Game 732525

I want to point out now that he was'nt rated 900 when I played him, he was a 1300's player. Don't know why his graph took such a nose dive.

Bit of a mismatch, but I still enjoyed the 4 piece checkmate.

How about this one, a mate using all 6 remaining white pieces (king, rook, knight and 3 pawns).

I especially like the way neither of you noticed the second mate for 5 or 6 moves before you finally played it, excellent! That must have come as such a surprise 😀

That's what made it so complex I guess.....

It took a lot of pieces to make this cramped enough!
