Bg2 {I swish my cloak around me and cackle at the devlish cunningness, everything is going to plan, i am not being mated on f2! which is good for me} c5 {hmmm, a kind of delayed symmetrical variation, my opponent wants the d4 and the d5 squares, how ambitious} 4. Nc3 {the sturdy steed is safe from any ...Bb4 ideas, exchanging him off for some measly kings bishop! I am expecting . . .d5 to come any second} Nc6 {no ...d5, how vewy vewy intwesting, the dirty rotten scoundrel, he is messing with my sensibilities keeping all options open, will I play e3 to contest the d4 square, why should I react to his plans, Jeremy Silman said its bad, do your own thing} 5. Nf3 Rb8 {hmm, what is my opponent concerned with? is he planing . . .b6 and ...Bb7, what about ...d5, what's wrong with ...d5} 6. O-O Be7 {ok, thats it, no ...d5 for you} 7. e4 {evah evah evah ! Ok the f3 knight is not ideally placed for this Botvinnik type system it should be on e2 to facilitate the advance of the f pawn, but there is no hungry bishop on g4, but he has gone too far by refusing to play ...d5} Ne5 8. b3 Nd3 {excuse me! waiter! there is a knight in my position, what the heck is it doing there sir} 9. Qe2 Nxc1 10. Raxc1 { ok, i have no idea what the point of that was, but it happened never the less.} a6 {my good man, i had no intention of coming to b5, I have bigger fish than that to fry! like the d4 square for example} 11. d4 cxd4 12. Nxd4 {yum yum, no d4 square for you} Bb4 {sigh, such one move attacks, when I move my knight, this bishop is getting it for its impunity and blatant disregard for my majesty!} 13. Nb1 e5 {sigh another one move wonder} 14. Nf5 O-O 15. a3 Bc5 {is that square really safe? is it} 16. b4 Ba7 {and now i have not only the d4 square, but the more juicier, d6 square! from which my trusty steed shall be intolerable} 17. Nd6 b5 {freaking out} 18. c5 {isn't that cosy, everything looks so aesthetically pleasing and I have a warm glowing feeling like sitting beside a fire sipping malt whiskey on a winters evening} a5 {a fly buzzing around my Chardonnay} 19. Nc3 axb4 20. axb4 Bb7 21. Ncxb5 {nom nom nom, back of the net kidz} Bc6 22. Nxa7 Ba4 {what is this, my opponent is giving me the chance to blunder and play ...Ra1, naturally the move is b5, but as a patzer of the lowest order, i must oblige!} 23. Ra1 {what the heck was I thinking, i dunno} Rxb4 {gulp, that rook sure looks hungry} 24. Rfb1 {ok, i confess, i couldn't think of anything else} Rxb1+ 25. Rxb1 Qa5 {it looks roasty toasty for my knight, but there is a single square which saves him} 26. Nac8 Qxc5 {and now my dear friends, pause for a moment, check all checks, check those yellow sticky notes on your monitor and you will easily find the combination} 27. Ne7+ Kh8 28. Nxf7+ {take me, take me!} Rxf7 29. Rb8+ Ng8 30. Rxg8# {tada! bah ching! ching! thanks for putting up with these annotations - kind regards Robbie} *

nothing, it wins a piece! bravo! 🙂 i simply did not see it, all I saw was the attack to my
c pawn. I may excuse myself as i was paranoid because in the game immediately
prior to this, it got stolen and i lost 🙂
