I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me with regard to the various and different pros and cons of this opening. I saw it used once to unbelievable effect, but I realized there had to be potential consequences. Thank You.

If black knows what he's doing then its not great. The key is for black to hit back with d5! and give a pawn back. It leads quickly into and endgame if white wants.

I like to use the Danish Gambit in blitz games, where you can catch an opponent off guard. It can be tricky do defend against if the opponent doesn't know it, and doesn't have alot of time to figure it out. I wouldn't consider it in a serious game though.

Agree with that, I think most of the problems (if you can call it a 'nice' problem) stem from players who do their best to avoid or decline this gambit thus killing off the enjoyment of accepting a gambit.
