    Based on the info at http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=2409, the top four candidates for best-non-world-champion are

    Korchnoi, Tarrasch, Keres, Rubinstein

    Of the other possibles, my votes would go to Bronstein, Geller, and Ivanchuk.

    A few months ago I would have said Anand. 🙂

    This has to be a dead person. Korchnoi may be one hundred and twenty twelve but he aint dead yet. I don't think Anand is dead either.
