Yes of course. The only way it could be an issue is if you were using a digital board that records the moves into a laptop. Otherwise, how is the clock going to know anything about what's going on, other than if you have pressed your clock or not...?

EDIT: Let me know what you think of it btw. I was thinking about getting one of those..

    Thanks.

When I passed screen control at Schiphol airport a few days ago, this clock was suspicious in my back pack.

I'll let you know about experiences, I haven't unpacked it yet because I didn't need it::: organizer of a current OTB tournament at the last moment managed to provide all inventory for ca.180 players.

Wow i just got offered one of these for free if i subscribe to New in chess. It's a give away they are running. I just did their 3 month trial subscription, now they are offering one of these clocks as a sweetener to subscribe for a year (which i'm tempted to do as the magazine is great, even though i've normally seen all of the games before the magazine arrives..)

It says it creates random positions?
It's a clock, not a computer, the statement makes no sense, are you sure you read that right?

It has a digital display which displays randomised 960 positions. You then set up the position on the board if you want to play 960..
