Grateful for any opinions on whether a draw was a fair result. It seemed to me that for quite a few moves we weren't really getting anywhere.

It depends on the next move of black. After that your rook can go to f8 or h8 and then capture one of these pawns. So, I think advantage for white.

On move 6, instead of b4 you should play 6. Nxe5 like in Damiano's opening. Black can't recapture due to 6. Nxe5 fxe5 7. Qh5+ g6 8. Qxe5+ winning the rook. At the end I thought black had the upper hand due to the doubled pawns, although your rook's more active.
