No, it isn't checkmate, it's a terrible blunder and you should lose.
it's really a simple oversight that you can fix by working on some tactical puzzles. Get a cheap book like 303 Tricky Chess Tactics or something similar, work through the puzzles until they become clear, and you will be fine Zach.
