Maybe not really difficult or unusual but I was recently watching an online tournament game between two 1900s, one of the players was very short of time, 30 seconds or so left with pawns and bishops of oppsite colour on the board, the player forced a swapping of pawns leaving only bishops of oppsite colours and then let his clock run down expecting the server to automaticly draw the position.......when he lost the game he went ape about how the server was unfair and that it was clearly drawn and that no one could win. Had he thought about it before letting his clock run down he would have realised that you can mate with bishops of oppsite colour. 😛

Ethically that should have been a draw.
