what does it mean when:
-I spent more time walking around looking at other games and out the window instead of my own
-I felt almost physically sick looking at the chess board
-I was desperate for a draw so I could go home after about 10 moves in
-I didn't care about winning (I almost wanted to be ...[text shortened]... s, 8 as black only 1 as white, won 5, drawn 4 all around 1800 players.. I should be happy.. 🙁
Something similar happened with me last weekend, during my last OTB tournament.

Are you playing just because you don't want to let the team down?
If that is the case, I'd seek a replacement asap and have some time away from the game until you start to miss it, (if at all).
It happens to us all. I call it getting 'Chessed out'.
It's possibly one of the reason why some games on have some incredible
blunders or bad decisions unlike any of those you would find in OTB play.
The rememdy appears to be to keep away from chess for a week or two.
This is impoosible in my house. Chess is everywhere.
I gave up playing league chess a while back as it began to feel like work
but there are days when I crave a game and then pop along to the club
or round to friends house.

feeling much better already - I just resigned 20 games..
I'm feeling a little like that on RHP. Getting my gameload down under 10 steadily, offering draws when I'm ahead and resigning games I feel I'm marginally behind. It's all the chess time I have atm just to keep up with my games on here, and it's stopping me from improving.

Why would you ever want to do something you don't have to that is making you miserable?
It would be a pity if you left the game and never returned, but I don't think there is anyone who would want you to carry on feeling the way you do now.
Take a break, and see what happens. I suspect you will return to the game, but it is not the end of the world if you don't, providing you are content with that decision.

Sounds like you may be getting old like me. But I do not get sick, just tired and too tired to feel like walking around looking at other games and out the window. I have been too tired and lazy to even go to the chess club this year. I think I enjoy talking with you guys just as much, if not more, than playing chess.
