I made a thread about this opening, Its called Alekhine's Defence
in it is a game against ih8sens...
a player who thinks its unsound, but I'm trying to master it as well, particularly Alburt's Variation.
I had always played and been a fan of Caro-Kann.
In ways I still am, but I'm trying Alekhine's to get away from the deeply theoretical Main line Kann. which I think is like 12 moves of theory which almost always draws.

That example is no good because the people who played it are on two way different levels.

My opponent is about 250 points underrated... the levels are still significanly different though, it's true... It's still a good game 😛

Yes, allowing Nxd5 is not an obvious blunder. I might have fallen for something like that. He played the opening quite ok other then for allowing that, and also maybe he exchanged the bishop for knight a little earlier then was required.

I have had plenty of forgettable alekhines defence games. This is one of the few that I could think of without having to trawl through all my records looking for more.

Lucky for you, no one is moving against me much today so I had time to look out this old loss, finding alekhine games is quite easy for me as I used to frequently lose to it a couple of years ago so I just have to look for lost games.
