The rule is: "when a threefold repetition of a position occurs with the same side to move one can claim a draw."
The position must be identical three times(doesn't have to be three times in a row)!
Claim it or just play on,whichever you guys prefer.

What happens to rank numbers when one accepts or offers a draw?

Your rating number? After you move out of povisional status (pxxxx), your rating change will depend on the difference in ratings between you and your opponent. Check the FAQ for the exact formula, but basicly if you draw against a higher rated opponent your rating will go up and if you draw against a lower rated opponent your rating will go down. The greater the difference between the two ratings, the more your rating can climb or drop.

Please remember : it is NOT a threefold repetition of moves which is grounds for a claim of "drawn game". It is a threefold repetition of POSITION. They do not have to be consecutive, and it is not an automatic draw. One player must claim, if neither does the game continues.
