How do you like to play your games which way do you think is best, imho I prefer static pawns and to play with my pieces, although I do think think dynamic pawn games are more exciting. With static vs dynamic pawns it's like saying ok im staying here you can advance your army but im going to plot against you, if any men get left behide im going to target them, and also like to exchange all my minor pieces so I can get my rooks into the massive space you've created, the more you move your pawns the more room for my rooks to move about, although the downside is the enemy pawns are closer to promotion. also with dynamic pawns leaves lots of holes for knights and bishops to slip though, I think the most importent pawns on the board are the 3 infront of the king and only move them when check/mate is threaten, sometimes bring my F pawn into play since its a centre pawn. what do you think pleae vote.. I vote static 😀

seams like nobody wants to share their tactics.. i will add the idea behide chess is to checkmate the king. not to get your pawns to the otherside
I'll vote for dynamic, because (what you mentioned) it can be an exciting game.
Yes I thnk on this site where you have alot of time to think about your moves there is alot more chance for dynamic games to work out, I just looked though my games, this is a prime example of what im talking about this player was playing with his pawns and got defeated pretty badly.. i had fealing he didnt know how to play with his pieces so went for the queen & rook exchange also see the danger of retreating my queen to F4 on move 27. I'll look though some more of my games to try and find a dynamic game which i was defeated.. heres the game Game 1041474 for sure i dont like to keep moving my pieces during the opening, but didn't have much choice here.. I also like the way i used the hole he created by double my G pawn.

Because eventually his moves will all be used up and his pieces have no play. Then punch a hole through the pawn screen, get your rooks and other mobile pieces behind them where they have no protection and clean up.
