Congrats!
I love the guys that start 1/0 games and don't move on weekends.
They're what are known as skull donors.

I noticed my opponent would play up to 5 moves at once then disappear for 2 or 3 days. Sooner or later he would be out of timebank and he was.

so you purposely set up a game with the goal of getting a timeout win?

I don' think he said that. I think he noticed the guy doing this during the game.
He knows best though. Let's see what he says.

If I'm ever losing a game I start messaging my opponents passages from texts like Being and Nothingness or Journey to the End of the Night.

Eventually their game starts to deteriorate as they begin wondering more and more why they're even bothering with all the thinking and the calculating, etc. Every time I send them a move they're reminded that "man is a useless passion", or that "the truth of the world is to die."

Sometimes I like to imagine that I've actually caused them a legitimate existential crisis. I don't even need to wake up early to claim the timeout. I leave the skulls sitting in my inbox for as long as possible. I have about 5 waiting to be clicked.

One of the poor souls hasn't moved in 2 weeks. I hope he didn't off himself...

Anyway, usually if they bother to come back they end up blundering immediately. Then I laugh heartily, tell them drugs are the answer, and that maybe chess just isn't for them.

Of course not. The game was still in book, but during the course of the game I noticed his "movement pattern" if that makes any sense.
