He should stop pressing his luck by moving faster than once every 6 days 23 hours and 45 minutes otherwise this will not be his only TO. I already let the TO pass before but I was recently told he is pulling the same waiting game against others in the top 20.

Originally posted by FeivelI agree, he should stay, it's not like his dignity should be ruined by one loss due to a timeout. And I admit, I might have done the same thing, I have no idea, I wasn't in the specific situation, but I have always been a supporter for claiming timeouts right away.
Edmond Dantes clan leader sent me a message a few minutes after the TO saying that I suceeded in getting Edmond to leave RHP?! If this is true Edmond is one very insecure individual.

U don't know who are u speaking with so don't say anything about Edmond. He is a wonderful person and look at well your match. Your position was a LOSING one. U would NEVER won that match and u know it. But if u are happy to win in this way u can do. Up to u. According to me is not sportif but was your right to ask TO. Take the win, be happy (if u can), but don't say anything else about Edmond, please.

this comment does seem innapropriate.
you derive someone's "insecurity" from what was said about them by someone else - something that later turns out to be false. sure you make logical truth by putting in the "if", but i still do not like it. we can all put if's in our sentences and call each other badnames all day and it would be logically true, but false in its implication.
now the premise turns out to be false .... i know what i hope i would do here: apologise.
good on you for sticking to your guns on your chess though - you defend that position - good luck 🙂
The problem is that too many people think that here we are in the finals of chess championship. Come on, this is a site where we can have fun, improve our chess playing and enjoy. Maybe i think so because i'm not a pro but simply an amateur but for me chess is simply a WONDERFUL game. Who played with me (and not only in this site) know that i'm not interested in ratings, points or similar but probably u are. I have more important things in my life like my son and family than a win here. I play to win, of course, but not interested to win like that. This is the difference!
Feivel, maybe u did not understand what i did not like about your words and flex understood very well. U judged a person without knowing who Dantes is because "someone" told u somehting. Generally u judge people in this way? I hope u don't.
Ok... as just as i finish many matches i will send u a challenge by that position. Actually i have too many matches and i don't connect many times a day. Is ok for u?

Flexmore and Cristina,
I guess neither of you care to read the part of my post that says IF THIS IS TRUE.
The call for a challenge went out last night and will remain in effect for 24 hours. Is everyone here who claims I was going to lose too chicken to challenge me to a set piece game?
Feivel the Freethinker
All this has nothing to do with wheter the position was loosing or winning. there are rules and everyone has to accept them. the is just to behave sportsmanlike: move withing the 7 days (or whatever). If your opponent claims a win 2 min after he can he just used his right. nothing is wrong with that.
Of course for Edmond it's hard... his first defeat.
Ths site here is not - as already mentioned - a fun site, not a championship.
Perhaps Edmond can show that he is the better player and win all other games.
That's chess. It's never over. I hope very much that such a good player does not leave this cool site because s.o. claimed a T/O.
th
Putting the T/O issue aside, this IS the only chess forum after all,I'd really like to see someone step up to Feivel's challenge.I looked at the position and I don't see the claimed winning advantage.I can agree that white may be a lil better, but clearly winning?Hmm,don't think so. Of course,I'm just a patzer compared to these guys, but still,I'd like to see it proved.
Has anyone actually thought that he might have to'd because
he did not want to be more embarrassed by getting c-mtd, because
he knew he was going to lose. Not that its any disgrace having a 99.6 odd percent success record! To win so many games without losing
requires not only a great deal of skill but the will to take as long over every move as is possible so as to make the best one possible. I would just like to say that one day there will be some exceptional player who will take over his mantle and have their day as he has had his.
