in the line played at the actual game white cannot play h3 and prevent Kg4 at 4th move since 4...h4 5.gxh4 Kxf4 so Ke3 instead of Kd3 is the key move for winning the game

yes very good, and if the white king tries to get over to defend his king side pawns, black and easily deflect him his d-pawn. With best play the position is a draw, because black can easily stalemate himself on h4 in some lines. However, after a lot of studying of this position a win was finally found for white, instead of f4, they found a better idea. Can anyone see it?
Sooner or later black king will have to leave e6 square and white wins.
Actually, black will not play h4 until white moves to d4. play could go like this. 1.f4 h5 2.g3 Ke6 3.Ke3 kf5 4.h3 g6 5.Kd4 h4 and white no longer can win. And if white tries 4.Kf3 black can easily deflect him with 4...d4. That is why 1.f4 only leads to a draw. White needs to find a better 1st move
