My soon to be 12 year old grandson wants an electronic chess set for his birthday. He’s basically starting but knows the pieces and how they move. Any recommendations? Prefer around $100 or less. Thanks.

He’s not connected to internet so he’ll be playing against the computer mostly.

No, I tried a few chess computers years ago but didn't like the undersized pieces. I prefer playing at my local chess club, or online against other humans. I hope this one works for your grandson.
