No it works: 1. Ne6+ Kxh6 2. Nxf8 Kh7 3. Nd7 Kf7 4. Nb6 Ke6 5. Nf4 Kd5 (5 ... a4 6. bxa4 Kc5 7. Nb2 wins) 6. Nxa5 Kc5 7. Ke2 Kb5 9. Kd3 Kxa4 10. Kc4 and the pawn queens.
