Befor becoming a member I played a lot at another site. In the interest of fairness to all the site players I have tried to play my best in eliminating my games in progress. By some coincidence it seems someone knows I'm leaving the site. All except a couple players are dragging their games to the limit on time. I don't want to just resign these games. It wouldn't be fair to otherplayers. What is the ethical move here. I'm really getting feed up. Appreciate some input.

The most ethical thing is not to resign.
Wait a minute, the most ethical thing is to maintain your personal well being.
Wait a minute...
never mind.

If you have decided not to play at the other site, then just stop playing there. Clearly you have made an effort to finish your game, but the people you mention are dragging their feet. Of course, they are presumably playing within the allotted time controls, or you would have timed them out. Resign if you want, or post a message that you are leaving and just let them expire. I don't see a dilemma. Whatever points they garner from your losses will be insignificant in the long run.

How would resigning not be fair? I can see not wanting to do it, but I don't get how it's an act of injustice.
